Catching Up

Hello, I forgot about posting a blog update on Monday but I figure this weekend is a pretty good time to catch up on writing, designing, drawing and basically living. Actually I didn't really ‘forget’ but rather thought I could get to it on Tuesday, and tuesday was such a long work day that when Wednesday rolled around I thought it was Thursday, so I already felt like the week was over by then. In any case, this week has been really busy with logo and web design, ghostwriting and content writing. I’m also looking to hire a writer for an ongoing project so it’s been process going through prospective new employees. I’ll probably be hiring more than one person sometime in the next week. I’ve also missed quite a few Inktober prompts. That one kills me because I committed to doing this! See the list of prompts I’m following, and also follow along with me on Instagram @lauralrgraphics I’m also taking some time for myself at least once a week. I got the last of the honey from the farmers market and took some photos of the leaves changing in these rolling hills in upstate New York. In Corning the farmers market is still going strong, and I finally bought a new hematite bracelet from a vendor there. At this point I’ll try anything, the pain in my hands and feet just kill. I do have arthritis, unfortunately. But I really want to avoid serious prescription medication if I can. I’ve been eating gluten free since May, and I really haven’t eaten sugar since 2008. I bake with stevia and honey when I swap out for white and brown sugar, but there are hidden sugars in everything so I guess I’m really restricting my sugar intake rather than going completely sugar free. This is all an effort to reduce inflammation all together, hopefully easing my asthma, allergies and joint pain. I wrote an article awhile back you might be interested in if inflammation is a problem for you too. I’ve also added some new articles to my suite.io page. You can check them out here and here.
