So you forgot Valentine’s Day… Ladies, I feel like we don't feel like we need to get our guy anything. Mostly because we think the guy in our life doesn’t need anything. Um… Really? You have got to be kidding me if you think men don’t need help sometimes. I know it’s just a few more days but there are places that are local to you that carry a decent selection of fragrance options, even fast and free shipping on items around the web.
My favorite fragrances for men are more woody, like singed cedar and deep notes of sandalwood. I even like them for women’s scents for winter. I’ve said it before in the blog that I like to change up my perfume depending on the season. I like light ethereal things for the spring and summer, Kenneth Cole White is a lovely one that’s not sickly sweet. In the winter I adore Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker, it’s not bold but it has a cozy feel to it. The same goes for men’s scents too. You want to change things up every once and awhile unless you’re a die hard devotee to a single brand or smell. Even then I like to explore my options within the same product range. Dior fragrances are a good example of this. Dior scents for men are spot on. They are warm in tone and inviting. I think it’s mostly pheromones but the way men smell is addictive at times, so you don’t want something that’s overpowering. I am very sensitive to smell, and I do associate memories and people with certain odors. Dior has a wide range from light mist like scents or oil based musk that is long lasting. Jack Black Beard and Skin Care Line I have a great love for the smell of clean. I think if your skincare routine is filled with yummy scents you don’t have to always wear a fragrance, and Jack Black product line is just that. No, not the actor, this Jack Black is a well crafted line for men based on Kalahari Melon Oil, Vitamin E, Brown Algae, and Carrot Extract. Can’t get it online fast enough? Find some quality scents at the drugstore, I kid you not. Davidoff’s Cool Water is a classic favorite for a reason: It’s smells like soap without overwhelming the senses. It literally smells like a shower. Nautica has a large line of fragrances for men, from sharp citrus notes to deep woody musk, but I like the crisp scent of Nautica Blue.
Things to consider, stay away from sharp acidic scents associated with brands aimed at younger men. They are designed to mask body odor in those tho are still developing. I’ve found that these fragrances really dull the natural musk of your guy, and, as a result, kill the mood.
