Mondays mark the time of the week where I post things about creating. I’ve been participating in National Novel Writing Month/ NaNoWriMo.org for the past two years. So far I haven’t broken the 10k word mark these past few tries. Mostly due to paid work coming in and distracting me. Right now I find myself in a unique situation, where paid work is winding down and I may have some passive income from tee shirt sales via MisterDressup.com (link coming soon!). I could very well possible finish this piece for NaNoWriMo, which is why I won’t be posting a weekly blog for November unless something important comes up. Wolf Run Lake
Author: Laura Resurreccion
Genre: Horror/Supernatural
Synopsis
Putting together the pieces while she recovers in the hospital, Lana recalls as much as she can to the stranger who fished her out of the lake. After killing her brother-in-law, Lana got into her car and began to drive north, along the Hudson. She came across a glittering lake, and made a decision to ride the guard rail and dive into the lake. Her intention was to end her own life, but instead she wakes up three months later with a man in a long coat hovering over her. He is from an organization that is in charge of record keeping for various sources. Pretty much a bunch of over paid librarians. He offers Lana a job, but it comes with strings attached.
Excerpt
Black turns to gray, and sharp yellow light begins to come through as Lana's eyelids flutter. In these first moments of consciousness there is nothing. There are no thoughts about the murders, the trial, the prison, the lake. There is just not and Lana has no sense of where she is or what happened to her. She was sure she was dead, but of course that does not seem to be the case... Of course you can always keep up with me on Instagram, it's just really handy since I always have my phone on me.
