New Moon in July: Rest, Realign, Reimagine

The July New Moon arrives like a quiet invitation—one that whispers: what do you need to release to come back home to yourself?
New moons are often associated with beginnings. But beginnings don’t always start with action. Sometimes, they start with stillness. With laying down the burdens we’ve been carrying too long. With silence. With sleep. With no longer pretending we’re fine when we’re not.
This month, I’m leaning into rest—not as an escape, but as a sacred strategy. Rest as a way to realign. Rest as a portal to reimagine.
🌑 Rest
“I allow rest to be part of my growth.”
Capitalist culture tells us we have to earn our rest. Spiritual practice teaches us the opposite—that rest is a right, a ritual, and a requirement for clarity. During this new moon, I’m letting my body teach me what it needs. Some days that’s quiet movement. Some days that’s crying in the bathtub. Some days it’s sleep that I don’t apologize for.
🌑 Realign
“I release old patterns that no longer serve me.”
“I align with what truly nourishes my spirit.”
The new moon is the darkest night of the cycle—but also the most honest. It’s a good time to ask: Am I living in alignment with my values? Where am I out of sync with the rhythm of my own life?
Realignment doesn’t require a huge overhaul. It’s often subtle. Choosing slowness. Drinking water. Logging off. Saying no. Saying yes differently. Listening inward instead of chasing noise.
🌑 Reimagine
“I trust the timing of my becoming.”
“I move forward with intention, not urgency.”
Once I rest and realign, I can start to reimagine. And I mean really reimagine—without the pressure to be perfect, impressive, or productive. I’m letting my imagination stretch out again. I’m asking what might be possible if I believed I was already enough. I’m dreaming in color.
I am calling in softness. Calling in joy. Calling in a way of being that doesn’t require me to burn myself up just to be seen as worthy.

🖤 Here are a few more affirmations I’m holding close this lunar cycle:
I am rooted in truth and open to transformation.
I plant seeds of change with clarity and courage.
I am worthy of softness, joy, and new beginnings.
I call in the people, places, and opportunities that support my healing.
I honor my emotions as guides, not obstacles.
Wherever you are this new moon—whether you’re resting, realigning, or just remembering to breathe—I hope you give yourself permission to trust the unfolding. You are allowed to begin again. You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to reimagine everything.
