Spring is Strange

I love this place. April in New York is a strange time of year. You can experience all the seasons within a few days. There really isn't a proper 'spring' time here, it's just winter and summer.
As I write this it's Good Friday and it is pretty interesting. Yesterday was warm in the afternoon but cold and foggy in the morning. In the afternoon, I brought my lunch outside and took my shoes off.
Today it's basically winter. I can't believe it's freezing cold today! But that's March in New York for you...I have some spots where I like to shop and grab a bite in Corning New York on Market Street. Here are a few pics from my day out:

I have to go to Smith Allergy every two weeks for allergy shots so I always end up killing time walking around Market Street. It's called the Gaffer District, which is a historical area. This is the Square where there is sometimes live music in the summer time. There is also a farmer's market here year round.

Poppleton Bakery is close by and it's the perfect little bakery. I usually get the gluten-free lemon pound cake and a bubble tea, but this day I got a dark roast coffee and a chocolate gluten-free cupcake with vanilla cream icing. So good!

They even let me leave some business cards on the coffee bar. Thanks!

I made a quick lunch once I got home. I just chopped up the leftover chicken and veggies and made a chicken salad open faced sandwich.

This was me in the morning. The same day I had to go get blood work with a fasting order. It was done at the local hospital, so this is my face all puffy without any coffee in my system yet.

The crocuses are in bloom! But this was one of a hand full of days where they were all open.
